Ebony Belcher

My name is Ebony Belcher, and I am the proud founder and childcare provider of Little People Big Hearts Daycare, located in the heart of Mount Vernon, New York. Born and raised in Mount Vernon, I have built strong, lasting relationships throughout the community and remain deeply committed to serving local families. I have been licensed by New York State since 2008 as a Group Family Child Care Provider, allowing me to offer high-quality childcare to children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years of age, supporting families both within Mount Vernon and surrounding areas.

Before opening Little People Big Hearts Daycare, I gained extensive experience as a foster and adoptive parent through Westchester County, worked in various residential treatment facilities, and assisted my mother, Mamie Belcher, who successfully operated her own daycare for over twenty years. Through these experiences, I have acquired more than 25 years of hands-on childcare experience, shaping my approach to nurturing, education, and family engagement.

I have always had a deep passion for the well-being and development of children and take pride in providing a safe, secure, and positive learning environment where each child can thrive. My mission is not only to support children’s growth but also to continue my mother’s remarkable legacy of excellence in childcare for generations to come.

Jeniffer Benson

My name is Jeniffer Benson, and I am a childcare assistant at Little People Big Hearts Daycare. My connection to this program began when my daughter attended Little People Big Hearts Daycare from the age of two, where she formed meaningful and lasting friendships. Inspired by the nurturing environment and positive impact the program had on my child, I began my own journey at LPBH Daycare in 2020.

With over ten years of experience in the medical field, transitioning into childcare has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I truly enjoy creating strong bonds with the children and supporting their growth and development. Under the guidance of Mrs. Ebony Belcher, I have learned so much about the childcare field and the business behind it. Each day, I enjoy teaching, learning from the children, and watching them grow. I am grateful to be part of such a supportive program and to play a role in helping children learn, thrive, and succeed.

Jalliyah Kerr

My name is Jalliyah Kerr, and I am a childcare assistant at Little People Big Hearts Daycare. I am currently a biology major on a pre-med track at Stony Brook University, with aspirations of becoming a pediatrician. Working with children is deeply rewarding to me, as I enjoy learning from their curiosity, creativity, and unique perspectives.

I have built meaningful bonds with the children in my care and truly value the connections formed through daily interaction and support. I am passionate about teaching, nurturing growth, and working closely with families from diverse backgrounds to create a positive and inclusive environment. I look forward to continuing my education while collaborating with the childcare provider, children, and families to support each child’s development and well-being.

Christina Beauchamp

Hi! My name is Christina Beauchamp, and I am a childcare assistant at Little People Big Hearts Daycare. Working with children is one of my greatest passions, and being part of their growth and development brings me so much joy. Every day, I have the privilege of watching the children learn, explore, and grow, which is truly rewarding.

I am inspired by Mrs. Ebony and hope to one day open my own daycare, following in her footsteps. Being part of this business has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally, and I am constantly learning new skills that I will carry with me throughout my journey. The environment here feels more like a family than a workplace, and I am grateful to work alongside such a supportive team.

Knowing that I get to play a role in shaping a brighter future for our children is an incredible blessing. I look forward to applying everything I’ve learned here not only in my future career, but also at home with my own children.

Iesha Stanley

Hi! My name is Iesha Stanley and I am a childcare assistant here at Little People Big Hearts Daycare. I am a caring and dedicated childcare assistant with a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development. My love for childcare began at home, where helping raise my nieces and nephews inspired me to pursue a role focused on nurturing young minds. Through this experience, I developed patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of the importance of creating a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for children.

I truly enjoy teaching children new skills, encouraging their curiosity, and helping them build confidence through positive guidance and engagement. My goal is to make every child feel valued, supported, and secure while fostering their social, emotional, and educational development.
