Meet Ebony Belcher!
My name is Ebony Belcher, and I am the proud founder and childcare provider of Little People Big Hearts Daycare, located in the heart of Mount Vernon, New York. Born and raised in Mount Vernon, I have built strong, lasting relationships throughout the community and remain deeply committed to serving local families. I have been licensed by New York State since 2008 as a Group Family Child Care Provider, allowing me to offer high-quality childcare to children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years of age, supporting families both within Mount Vernon and surrounding areas.
Before opening Little People Big Hearts Daycare, I gained extensive experience as a foster and adoptive parent through Westchester County, worked in various residential treatment facilities, and assisted my mother, Mamie Belcher, who successfully operated her own daycare for over twenty years. Through these experiences, I have acquired more than 25 years of hands-on childcare experience, shaping my approach to nurturing, education, and family engagement.
I have always had a deep passion for the well-being and development of children and take pride in providing a safe, secure, and positive learning environment where each child can thrive. My mission is not only to support children’s growth but also to continue my mother’s remarkable legacy of excellence in childcare for generations to come.
Meet Jalliyah Kerr!
Hi! My name is Jalliyah Kerr, and I am a Childcare Assistant at Little People Big Hearts Daycare. I am currently pursuing a degree in Biology on the pre-med track at Stony Brook University, with aspirations of becoming a pediatrician.
Working with children is especially meaningful to me because it connects directly with my passion for caring for others and my future goals in medicine. I enjoy experiencing the world through the children’s curiosity, creativity, and unique personalities while helping them learn, grow, and develop each day.
During my time at Little People Big Hearts Daycare, I have built meaningful bonds with the children in my care and truly value the relationships formed through daily interaction, encouragement, and support. I am passionate about teaching, nurturing each child’s individual growth, and creating an environment where every child feels safe, supported, included, and valued.
I also enjoy working closely with families from diverse backgrounds and understand the importance of strong relationships between families and childcare providers. As I continue my education and journey toward becoming a pediatrician, I look forward to applying the valuable experiences and lessons I gain from working with our children and families.

Hi! My name is Jeniffer Benson, and I am a Childcare Assistant at Little People Big Hearts Daycare. My connection to LPBH began as a parent when my daughter started attending the daycare at just two years old. During her time here, she formed meaningful friendships and was surrounded by a nurturing, loving environment. Seeing the positive impact the program had on my daughter inspired me to begin my own journey as a member of the LPBH team in 2020.
Before entering the childcare field, I gained more than 10 years of experience in the medical field. Transitioning into childcare has been an incredibly rewarding experience and has allowed me to bring my caring and compassionate nature into a new setting.
I truly enjoy building strong bonds with the children, teaching them new things, and supporting their growth and development. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is watching each child reach new milestones, develop their own personality, and gain confidence as they learn and explore.
Under the guidance of Mrs. Ebony Belcher, I have gained valuable knowledge about both early childhood care and the business of childcare. I continue to learn and grow each day alongside the children and my fellow team members.
I am grateful to be part of the Little People Big Hearts Daycare family and to have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of our children and families while helping each child learn, thrive, and succeed. ❤️

Meet Christina Beauchamp!
Hi! My name is Christina Beauchamp, and I am a Childcare Assistant at Little People Big Hearts Daycare. Working with children is one of my greatest passions, and being a part of their growth and development brings me so much joy. Each day, I have the privilege of watching our children learn, explore, develop new skills, and grow into their unique personalities.
My experience at Little People Big Hearts Daycare has helped me grow both personally and professionally. I am inspired by Mrs. Ebony’s dedication to children, families, and the childcare profession, and I hope to one day follow in her footsteps by opening a daycare of my own.
Being part of LPBH feels like more than just a job—it feels like being part of a family. I am grateful for the supportive team, the relationships I have built with our children and families, and the valuable knowledge and experience I continue to gain.
As a mother myself, I also appreciate being able to take what I learn each day and apply it at home with my own children. Knowing that I have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of children and help shape a brighter future for them is truly a blessing.

Meet Blanca Garcia!
Blanca Garcia is a caring and creative member of the Little People Big Hearts Day Care team. With previous experience as a Childcare Assistant and as a proud mother of two, Blanca brings both hands-on childcare experience and a nurturing, family-centered approach to her role.
Blanca truly enjoys working with children, helping them learn, grow, explore, and express their creativity. Her creative personality allows her to bring fun and engaging ideas into the classroom while creating meaningful experiences for the children.
She also values building positive relationships with our daycare families and believes that strong communication between parents and caregivers plays an important role in each child’s success.
